I’m Roy, and this is my story so far! I am a Navy Captain. It is what I always wanted to be! My Junior High school teacher once told me, “Todo se puede!” “Everything is doable!” I believed him! I joined the US Navy in 1988, and after four years in the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and 29+ years on active duty, I am retiring. I have been in the military my entire adult life, and it has been an extraordinary journey. Rather than do a formal retirement ceremony, I wanted to share my 30 plus year journey differently and uniquely. Travel with me, and let me tell you my story because it has been nothing short of incredible! I aim to inspire young men and women to follow the path I chose, especially our outstanding and capable minority youth. Come with me, and share this journey as I travel across America for 33 days on a motorcycle. One day for each year in the service, with stories of the past and present!
